Step 1

Job Offer from a U.S. Employer

You must have a valid job offer from a U.S. employer in a profession that is listed in the NAFTA (Now USMCA) agreement.

Step 2

Determine Eligibility

Verify that you hold Canadian citizenship and that your profession is included in the list of eligible occupations under the USMCA agreement. The list of eligible professions can be found in Appendix 2 of Annex 1603 of the USMCA agreement.

We'll guide you through understanding the requirements specific to your profession.

Step 3

Prepare Documentation

Gather all necessary documents including:

  • Valid passport
  • TN Letter of employment from the U.S. employer detailing job title, duties, duration of employment, and salary. (We will help you with this) 
  • Proof of professional qualifications (degrees, licenses, etc.)
  • Any other relevant supporting documents

We'll review your documents to ensure they meet the visa application requirements.

Step 4

Obtain TN nonimmigrant status at a U.S. port of entry

Canadian citizens can secure TN status upon arrival in the U.S. by providing the required documents to a CBP officer at designated ports of entry or pre-clearance stations.

We’ll guide you through the process, ensuring you’re fully prepared for your interview with the CBP officer.
